As the global intensity of charged emotions can often shake us from our otherwise peaceful and wise foundations, this next five weeks of pranayama, our circle of breath, will be dedicated to outlining very simple core ethics of yoga, the 5 niyamas, and offering discussion space for the applications of these simple principles in our lives. We will couple the opening of each class with a few sutras from the Yoga Sutras and then practice breathing and meditation techniques to gain personal clarity and self regulation.

This is an opportunity to tune into the body, breath, and your vital energy to restore yourself, ground, find stillness and hold center.

It is essential for those working on the ground to avoid burnout or for those in a cycle of overwhelm to build sustainable practices.

I have found very gently taught pranayama to be of the most useful.

Please join us for 5 sessions on Tuesdays at 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm EDT, starting March 19th-- that is 1:30 pm PT -- or Wednesday mornings 9:30 am NZDT.
